appropriate for the 2009 event. When is the magic date for all this
information to go live? Look for the Panel Picker to launch on Friday,
August 8. Speaking of new launches, version 2009 of the SXSW Interactive
website is scheduled for a Friday, August 1 release. Countdown to ecstasy!

communication between the SXSW staff and the many industry experts
scheduled to speak at next year's event. All panel mentors will be given
a comp badge for their efforts. E-mail Hugh at sxsw.com for details if you

third annual convention will feature more than 100 sessions focusing on
how technology intersects with and is changing democracy in America.

10. d.Construct 2008 Returns to Brighton on September 5

If you like the SXSW Interactive Festival, then we think that you will
like d.Construct 2009 (which is scheduled September 5 in Brighton, UK).

latest generation of social web applications, this year's event features
speakers such as Steven Johnson, Daniel Burka, Jeremy Keith, Joshua

BONUS: Answer Trivia and Win FREE 2009 SXSW Interactive Registration

July 11 is the last day to submit your programming idea to the 2009 SXSW
Panel Picker. Scheduled to go live on August 8, the Panel Picker allows
the online community to vote on which proposals they think are most
appropriate for next year's event. While this voting is an extremely
important part of the equation, it is not the only factor in determining
content for SXSW 2009. Also significant is the feedback of the SXSW
staff and the Advisory Board. For a chance to win a free registration to
next year's event, tell us your favorite member of the 2008 SXSW
Advisory Board. Hint: You can locate the 2008 Advisory Board by surfing
to this page: http://2008.sxsw.com/interactive/advisory_board/

THE FINE PRINT: E-mail your answer to hugh at sxsw.com. Please title this
e-mail "SXSW Interactive July Trivia Question." All answers must be
received by 5:00 pm CST on Thursday, July 10 to be eligible for the
drawing. Only one answer / entry / e-mail address per person. The
winning entry will be selected randomly from all the correct answers
received. The winner will receive a FREE badge for the 2009 SXSW
Interactive Festival (March 13-17), but this prize does not cover any
associated travel or lodging expenses. Person who wins free registration

answer to the July trivia question) will be posted on the SXSW
Interactive website next week.
