Welcome to the September 2007 edition of the South by Southwest (SXSW) 
Interactive Festival monthly listserve. Read below for more information 
on how you can shape the look and feel of the 2008 event via the SXSW 
Panel Picker. Also, if you like video games, then be sure to attend the 
ScreenBurn Mixer on September 5 at the Beauty Bar. Additionally, this 
listserve contains an easy-to-answer trivia question. Provide the 
correct answer and you are eligible to win a FREE FREE FREE registration 
to next year's SXSW Interactive Festival. The 2008 event is scheduled 
March 7-11 in Austin, Texas, the worldwide capital of creative thinking.

2. Henry Jenkins to Deliver Opening Remarks on Saturday, March 8

SXSW is pleased to announce that Henry Jenkins will deliver the Opening 
Remarks for the 2008 SXSW Interactive Festival on Saturday, March 8. The 
Co-Director of the Comparative Media Studies Program at MIT, Jenkins has 
also authored numerous books including "Convergence Culture: Where Old 
and New Media Collide" and "Fans, Bloggers and Gamers: Exploring 
Participatory Culture." His engaging conversation with danah boyd at the 
2007 SXSW Interactive Festival drew rave reviews from attendees – so we 
are extremely excited that he will make a return visit in 2008. Read

6. ScreenBurn Mixer: Wednesday, September 5 at the Beauty Bar in Austin

ScreenBurn is the new element of the SXSW Interactive Festival that

10. AIR Austin, AIR Houston & AIR Dallas: Who is the Champion of 
Accessibility?

SXSW Interactive supports Knowbility in their efforts to make the web

10th Anniversary of its Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) with a new 
twist. The year, teams will be competing to build accessible, standards
