Welcome to the March 2007 edition of the South by Southwest (SXSW) 
Interactive Festival monthly listserve. We are very excited about this
year's event, which begins Friday, March 9 in spring-like Austin, Texas.
Read below for a quick overview of event highlights, including ways that
you can be a part of SXSW Interactive even if you can't purchase a badge
or can only participate virtually

1. 2007 Panel Programming and Evening Events Begin Friday, March 9

Are you ready? The 2007 South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival
begins Friday, March 9 at the Austin Convention Center. Registration /
badge pickup opens at noon, while the first panel session kicks off at
3:30 pm (see http://2007.sxsw.com/interactive/programming/panels/ for
full schedule of daytime programing). Evening events start at 6:00 pm
with Mix at Six (see http://2007.sxsw.com/interactive/evening_events/

2. Special FREE Video Blog Panel at Carver Center on Friday, March 9

"Your Video Blog Can Save the World" is a FREE panel from 5:00-6:00 pm
on Friday, March 9 (http://2007.sxsw.com/interactive/carver/).  Join
vlogging experts Jay Dedman, Ryanne Hodson and Michael Verdi as they
explain how you can effortlessly set up your own video blog, that can
then attract thousands of viewers from around the globe. This special
panel takes place at the Carver Museum Cultural Center (1161 Angelina
Street). No badge or pre-event signup needed to attend this session. See

3. Attend the iF! Trade Show + Exhibition for FREE with an iF! Pass

Scheduled Sunday, March 11 through Tuesday, March 13 on the top floor of
the Austin Convention Center, the Interactive / Film (iF!) Trade Show +
Exhibition is the hub of daytime activities at SXSW. Companies
exhibiting in this space are pushing the envelope of digital innovation

4. FREE Admission for First-Ever ScreenBurn Arcade on March 10 & 11

Want to get into the game at SXSW Interactive? Then attend the
first-ever ScreenBurn Arcade, which occurs Saturday, March 10 (noon to
6:00 pm) as well as Sunday, March 11 (noon to 6:00 pm). Located on the
first floor of the Austin Convention Center, the ScreenBurn Arcade is a
hands-on playspace showcasing the latest innovations in the video game
industry. Highlight events include the EVO Championship Series, the Frag
Doll Competition and the PMS Clan Tournament. And the best part of all?

5. 2007 SXSW Web Awards Ceremony is Sunday Evening, March 11

Presented by Adobe, the SXSW Web Awards Ceremony takes place on Sunday
evening, March 11 at the Downtown Austin Hilton. This year's gala should
be the most entertaining ever, thanks to the addition of Ze Frank as

6. Follow All the Fun of SXSW Interactive on the Community Blog

The SXSW Community Blog is the online space where anyone can post their
thoughts about anything related to the 2007 event. Whether or not you

For 2007, SXSW interactive features more than 150 panel sessions
