Welcome to the April 2007 edition of the South by Southwest (SXSW)
Interactive Festival monthly listserve. Many audio and video highlights
of the 2007 SXSW Interactive Festival have now been posted online.
Whether you attended this year's event (and didn't get to see all the
panels that you wanted to) or weren't able to make it to Austin, this is
your chance to catch up on all the cool content that you may have
missed. Also, read below for information on how you can win a FREE
registration to next year's SXSW Interactive Festival (scheduled March
7-11, 2008).

1. Winners of the 2007 SXSW Web Awards Posted Online
The SXSW Web Awards seek to uncover the industry's best new sites, new
talent and new trends. Presented by Adobe, the Awards Ceremony for this
competition took place on Sunday evening, March 11 at the Downtown
Austin Hilton. For a list of 2007 winners, click to

2. Shahed Amanullah is Recipient of 2007 Dewey Winburne Award
Congratulations to Shahed Amanullah, winner of the 2007 Dewey Winburne
Community Service Award. Amanullah serves as the Editor-in-Chief of
altmuslim.com, a site which helps bring attention to various issues and
stories that are often ignored by both the Muslim and western press. The
Dewey Winburne Community Service Award is given to an Austin-area
resident who uses new media technology to level the playing field
between the haves and the have nots. Other 2007 Dewey honorees included
Brenda Adrian, Donny Branam, Rodney Gibbs, Bobbie Guerra, Kathy Keller,
Joyce Lauck, Pat Pound, Harvey Smith and Stefan Wray. Read more about

5. What Were the Best Sessions of 2007? Panel Ratings Posted Soon
On Monday, April 16, the list of top-rated panels from the 2007 SXSW
Interactive Festival will be posted on the SXSW website. Compiled from
feedback forms filled out by attendees at the end of each session, these
ratings provide a clear picture of what was the most popular programming
at the event. Check the SXSW website in mid-April to see who made the
honor role!

6. Panel Submission Process for SXSW 2008 Begins on June 1
Dates for the 2008 SXSW Interactive Festival are Friday, March 7 through
Tuesday, March 11. A significant portion of panel programming for next
year's event will come directly from ideas submitted by the SXSW
community. Ideas for 2008 will be accepted beginning Friday, June 1.
Stay tuned to the SXSW Interactive website (and to this listserve) for
complete details on the panel submission process.

Build your brand awareness by leveraging the buzz surrounding SXSW
